The workspace

The workspace is the newer shape of the dashboard, at qreate.cloud/app. Instead of finding the right page first and reading the settings second, you say what needs changing and Q opens the part of the server involved next to the conversation.

Getting around the workspace

On the home screen the left rail is collapsed to a narrow column of icons, so the screen belongs to your conversation while every destination stays one click away. Hover an icon for its name, or open the rail with the control at the top of it: your browser remembers which way you left it. The other lenses (What runs by itself, The whole picture, Overview) open with the rail already out.

You can navigate the entire dashboard using the command palette. Open it with the Cmd+K or Ctrl+K shortcut, or click the Search everything button in the header. The palette lets you search for and jump directly to any workspace lens, core dashboard page, or module settings page.

Two ways to use it

The rail opens in one of two modes, and one of them is always the one you are in. Q Chat is the conversation and the six lenses around it. Q Crew is the seven Q characters, and under whichever one you open, its modules.

There is nothing to switch on. Which mode is showing follows where you are: open a lens and you are in Q Chat, open a module and you are in Q Crew. The two tiles at the top of the rail take you to the other one when you want it.

A character's own row does not open a page of its own. It opens the list of what is inside it, and those are the pages. Tickets belongs to QARE but is also its own lens, so opening it keeps the rail in Q Chat.

• Chat with Q: the conversation itself, and where most work starts.
• Past chats: everything you and Q have already discussed on this server.
• What runs by itself: everything set up on the server that acts without anybody pressing anything.
• The whole picture: your channels, roles and categories as one map.
• Tickets: the support tickets your own members open.
• Overview: the server at a glance.

Personalized suggestions

The suggestion chips under the chat composer are tailored to your server. They detect what the connected Discord server is missing, for example, suggesting a verification gate when one is not configured. On a fresh conversation, the greeting, the composer, and the suggestion chips center together on the screen. Once you send a message, the conversation thread takes back its normal height.

What runs by itself

This is one list of everything on the server that acts on its own, whichever part of QREATE it was set up in. The greeting a new member gets, the role handed out on arrival, a scheduled post, a reminder, a running giveaway, a ticket panel and your automation rules all answer the same question, so they are all in one place rather than in different places.

Open an entry to see the steps it takes and where each step lands, and use Open full editor to go to its normal settings page.

Why some entries show no run count

Automation rules count every time they fire, so those show a real number and the time of the last run. Most of the others were never built to count, so the list says no run history kept for them.

That is deliberate. A welcome message that has greeted four thousand people would otherwise show a zero, and a zero you cannot check is worse than an honest blank.

Your module pages still work

Every module page keeps the address it always had, so old links and bookmarks still land where you expect. On the workspace they open inside it, with the conversation still to hand, and the page itself is the same page with the same settings and the same save button.
