Turn pasted Steam, GitHub, Modrinth, Pokedex and Paradox Mods links into readable cards.

Set it up
- 1Open Link Cards under QONNECT and enable the module.
- 2Switch on the services your server actually talks about. Each one is off until you enable it, except Steam Workshop.
- 3Per service, choose what the card shows: description length, artwork size, stats, tags, dates, author.
- 4Set where cards may appear (every channel, an allow list, or a deny list) and a per-member cooldown.
- 5Under How a card gets made, choose whether a posted link turns into a card on its own or whether cards only appear when someone asks for one.
What to know
- Supported today: Steam Workshop items, Steam store pages, GitHub repositories, Modrinth projects, Pokedex entries, and Paradox Mods pages (Cities: Skylines II, Hearts of Iron IV, Stellaris and others).
- Only on request switches the automatic part off completely: paste all the links you like and nothing happens until someone asks for a card. Handy in busy channels where an automatic card on every link would be noise.
- Cards do not only happen automatically.
/linkcard create link:<url>posts one on demand, and right-clicking a message and choosing Apps, then "Create link card", builds one from a link someone already posted. /linkcard panel(Manage Server) posts a button members press to submit a link. The card is published in that channel with a note saying who shared it, which suits a showcase channel where you would rather not see raw links.- No API keys or accounts are needed for any of them.
- Cards per message can be capped at 1 to 5 so a message full of links stays readable.
- "Hide Discord's own preview" needs Manage Messages; without it you get the card plus Discord's plain preview.
- Pokedex can also answer to
[[name]]typed in chat, and follows the server language where the Pokedex has that language. - Wording and colour per service: title and footer accept
{title},{provider}and the service's own values. - AI proposals should use
module:"link-cards".
